I had a memory on FB reminding me we have been RoR Quadrille Training since 2017.
2017 RoR West Region casually started Quadrille training. We had limited resources and time, but we had a bash at the preparation. Just couldn't get it off the floor with full steam ahead but it was good fun and great training.
The sessions started off quietly in walk working on patterns and working together either single or paired. After a few sessions we were all working in the canter as a group which was an amazing feeling
How far and How much fun we have had since we started the West/Southern Retraining of Racehorses Quadrille
2018 The new Dressage Display Team went live.
The Quadrille team had 2018 adventures in Lincolnshire, Lambourn, Blenheim, Marlborough, Warwickshire and many more are scheduled
Fast Forward to April 2019 when there will be an open training session for anyone interested
Quadrille Training with RoR restarted in March 2019 after a mini break and we all fitted right back in where we left off which felt great. These group sessions really help Alfie with his confidence especially in the canter
Chuffed to bits with the main man in the first session of 2019 he didn’t react to any of the other horses spooking and leaping and he even started to soften over this back and take a more consistent contact in this session. This is something we are really struggling with so a bonus result in the canter work. We all worked hard concentrating on pairing to start with then moving onto a circle to practice spacing. We decreased and increased the circle keeping the spacing and rhythm in the trot and canter.
We returned to some of our 2018 patterns and made sure we could still execute the half ten circles onto the centre line as a group
Awesome first session of 2019
